I thought this one hit close to home for me, but I was wrong. Nevertheless, I'm sure that it does for many here on dKos.
Students [at Montgomery County Community College], who last month signed a petition that was being circulated on the Blue Bell campus to legalize marijuana for primarily medicinal purposes, now are finding out that they are registered Republicans.
Admittedly, this instance of fraud isn't as widespread as many of the others; the MoCo Voter Services Director says only a "handful" of complaints have been filed, all by MCCC students. In the end, it's unlikely that any harm will come of this, and the victims have certainly learned their lesson and will thoroughly read anything they plan to sign before they sign it, in the future. Nevertheless, it's simply remarkable how many stories we've heard, from all across the nation, about Republican voter fraud. I, for one, think it speaks volumes of the political aura that the Republican party has created, over these past four years, that so many would think nothing of perpetrating criminal acts just to see George W. Bush reelected.
